USE ARROWS TO MOVE THROUGH IMAGES

By William Cameron

Maggie Martin is a passionate astrophotographer based in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado. Her love for capturing the beauty of the night sky, combined with the majesty of the surrounding mountains, has fueled her desire to share this art form with others. Astrophotography, for Maggie, is not just about creating stunning images of the cosmos—it is a unique way to connect with nature, foster creativity, and nurture curiosity.

Maggie’s journey into professional astrophotography began during the pandemic, when she decided to turn her lifelong passion into a full-time business. This decision led to the birth of Colorado Astrophotography, a company offering a range of immersive, hands-on experiences designed to inspire and educate people about the wonders of night photography. Through workshops, date night experiences, and photo shoots, Maggie guides her clients into the stillness of the night, teaching them how to capture their own visions of the stars and sky. Whether it’s helping people take their own astrophotography shots or capturing the magical moments of a couple under the stars, Maggie’s work offers something deeply personal and transformative.

In addition to the in-person experiences, Maggie also provides post-processing Zoom sessions, where she teaches clients how to refine their images, highlighting the intricate details of the night sky through expert editing techniques. This blend of creativity and technical mastery has garnered her widespread recognition.

Maggie’s work has become a form of mindful and therapeutic practice for herself and her clients, allowing them to disconnect from the hustle of daily life and reconnect with the natural world. The meditative process of shooting the night sky fosters a sense of peace and reflection, which has had a profound impact on those who participate.

Colorado Astrophotography has been recognized as one of Thrillist's top 50 experiences in the world, and Maggie’s work has been featured in Matador Magazine, Voyage Magazine, and Shoutout Colorado. Her unique approach to astrophotography continues to attract individuals seeking to capture their own light in the dark, and her workshops and sessions provide a rare opportunity to connect deeply with both the cosmos and oneself.
